Shoe repair seems to be a lost art, but in this economy it's coming back. With
the number of shoes he needs, one Elm Grove Cobbler says he really could use
the extra help, but in the 21st century there are few people skilled in shoe
repair. 72-year-old Ron Goldberg and his wife Gwen have made shoe repair their
life's work. The Goldbergs are the heart and soul behind Cobbler's Corner in
Elm Grove. Goldberg said, "I do the soles, the heels. I do orthopedic work,
and my wife does all the patch work, the sewing the zipper restyling boots."
The Goldbergs are the only employees at the business. The problem is that's
